Improve the Country's Security by Using Police Radio

Because of global terrorism, each and every country is strengthening their security structure. For hi-tech security, apart from deploying latest weapons, the better intra communication among the security personnel also plays a very crucial role. Using a police radio, one can have the amazing intra communication quality during the time of emergency incident. It can be easily operable in the control room of the police station and can direct the police personnel to the spot of emergency incident. The safety and security of the airport are the primary aim of country's security agency.
Using the airport radio, one can easily manage the crowd during the peak days or holidays. With use of it, the airport security personnel can get the secret information about criminals from the central security agency and can keep the vigil march throughout the airport.
The marine radio can be used for various purposes. It plays a magnificent role during the time of rescue operation. It allows the marine operator to communicate with the harbours, locks, bridges, and marinas with the outstanding voice quality. The TETRA radio is also a kind of walkie talkie which proved to be operable in and withstand the adverse condition of the environment. It plays the important role in metro communications by offering help in rail and road transportation services, emergency services, fire and safety services, etc. The walkie talkie like a trunked radio has incredible battery durability and offer full network signal even in low network area. It offers high voice quality by using Narrowband codecs technology.

Walkie Talkies – A Compaq and Easiest Means of Sharing Messages

Walkie talkies are the handheld tools popularly known as two way radios also. This system functions on the principle of half duplex, wherein messages can be sent and received one at a time. Users have to press the button present in walkie talkie to send the message and have to release it to receive the message. Their functionality is not bound to any time duration or size duration. Users can send longer messages also. Walkie talkies are mostly used in malls, defence offices, commercials and also for personal use in large distances.

If we recall the old days, our parents use to make trunk calls. You must have wondered ample of times thinking about the meaning. Trunk calls follow Trunking systems wherein from single frequency, multiple connections can operate. This enables easy and secured sharing of information within the organization. Though there are many modes of communications available in the world due to technological development, the base for these modes remains the signals of the network. There is a huge indoor and outdoor coverage problem in rural or congested areas.  Repeaters amplify the existing signals from the nearby base transceiver system and provide fair coverage and voice quality.

Continuous growth have evolved the production of DMR Radio (Digital mobile radio) providing services of optimum privacy to the confidential conversations and also providing good coverage and voice quality. Terrestrial trunked radio (Tetra) is yet another radio derived from ETSI. It works on two RF’s (radio frequency) and used mainly by government projects, hospitals and commercial offices.

Using a Two Way Radio

All of us wish to connect with our loved ones on mobile or the internet or through wired telephones but these types of communications are altogether different than what is required in the field. Modern ways of communication cannot be used in all fields of work as there is a chance of breach of safety and security while transmission and receiving of signals through packets. Hence a safer and an easier mode of communication is the two way radio. A 2 way radio works two ways on the same frequency. A simple walkie-talkie or such instrument is used to establish a connection between two persons or between a radio station and a worker. The radio sends a signal through one frequency and again receives it back on the same frequency.

2 Way Radio
Once you are sending a message on a two way radio, you cannot receive a message on the same radio as it uses the same frequency to do both the tasks. Hence, in a 2 way radio you either send or receive a message.
  • The first step you do is pushing a button and saying your message, the radio transmits your message in the form of packets and the receiver receives it on their instrument.
  • Next, the receiver pushes the button of his instrument and says his message and you receive the message on your instrument.
The radio works the following way and helps in receiving and sending messages faster and easier than any other mode of communication and in places where other communications can prove to be costly.

Communicating Below the Sea with Marine Radios

Radios are a very common instrument for each and every one of us around. Different types of radios are known to us such as the old AM radios, the new FM radios but all these are only radios that can receive radio signals either in AM mode or FM mode. A rather deeper and a more serious use of radios are made in emergency services such as the police departments, fire fighters, ambulances, armies etc. All of these use radios and these radios work best on land. Another use of radio made in the defence is by the navy.
As the navy has to do all its work in or around water, a special radio called Marine radio is used for communication.
This Marine radio makes use of the wireless radio technology for receiving and transferring signals over and below the sea. Since defence is a very important and a secret part of any country, special frequencies are used for receiving and transmitting the messages. Wireless radio transmits the radio frequency through a medium, either air or water, and hence is highly susceptible to signal losses and noises at the receiver end.

Hence, special high frequency waves are used that can penetrate deep into the ocean and avoid signal losses and attenuation. Also since these waves travel through a medium, safety is often a concern and so even after taking all of the care to avoid such unwanted copying of signals, as a safety measure, the messages are sent as codes that need to be deciphered at the receiver end.

2 Way Radio and Its Variants have a Place in Every Household

Are you thinking of buying a new 2 way radio? While you are at it decide what to buy. Licensed or a Licence Free Radio. The deciding factors would be the money you want to spend, where you would be using the radio and the safety. This variety of radio does not need any licence. No call charges to pay, no papers to be signed. This would be an ideal choice if you plan to use it within the limits of three Km. the Licence Free Radio has just one drawback. The chances of overhearing your talk or cause disturbance in the alerts. Many variants of a 2 Way Radio is available in the market.
2 Way Radio can be used anywhere and is a much appreciated kit in the market. It is a household name in U.K. The 2 way radio is a great help if you are on a family outing. This radio is worth its price, if you plan to use it to improve your business. Moreover, the radio can be used for free.
Walkie Talkies are yet another worthy investment. In the earlier days Walkie Talkies were seen at the construction sites, airports and other locations. Besides the cost price of the hand set there is no further expense involved. This makes it popular in every professional sector. An important and improved version of a 2 way radio is the PMR Radio.

PMR Radio is called a professional Mobile radio. One main PMR Radio connects many other mobiles. This feature makes it an important investment in the growth of an enterprise. Transport services still use this radio as a link between customers and the drivers. PMR Radio is a popular choice of the police force. Today the PMR radios offer a lot of service to the clients.

Digital Mobile Radio – a Professionals’ Choice

DMR is an acronym meaning Digital Mobile Radio. Etymologically, Digital Mobile Radio means a tool to hear radio frequency, quality sound and information in written form. It is a device designed by the institute popularly known as ETSI meaning European Telecommunications Standards Institute. The need of communication is increasing in day to day life for any sector bee it medical, paramedical, defense, politics, education and all. So in this era very useful device named digital mobile radio arose.

It is based on a two slot technology known as TDMA (Time Division Multiple Access). This tool divides the channel to increase the data and voice transfer both. Digital Mobile radio is efficient in terms of Low cost, flexibility, complexity, compatibility, reliability. Many such products are made and catered by a company named Hytera. Wireless Repeater Is Indeed a Support to the Main Routers in Trunking

Trunking system means a method to bring about a sharing of limited radio frequencies among a large group of users at the same time. Since the radio frequencies have to be shared, the radio needs a path or track to convey the messages. A main controlling radio organizes a group of people to use a selected frequency. The system works with many groups at a given time. Instead of allotting a radio frequency to an individual, the trunking system gets a user group to share a frequency. In order to enhance the clarity of voice and to get a good coverage the system uses repeaters.

The repeater receives the transmission through a frequency (A) and redirects the received transmission through another frequency (B) There are two types of repeaters. Wired and wireless. Wireless repeater is a tool to enhance the frequencies sent through various routes. The wireless repeater creates a point for the sound wave to be sent back to main path in a magnified strength. Thus one can say that a wireless repeater gives the main route an added support. Here the thought of portable radio comes to one’s mind.

A Portable digital Radio is an improvised version of a portable radio. This changes the radio frequencies into a numeric version. These radios are useful to person, when he is on the move. Business groups use the portable digital radio to communicate with the staffs who are working at different locations. Another mobile radio that is useful in the business world I is the DMR.

DMR (Digital Mobile Radio) is a procedure of using the numeric code to modify the diction and to send it as frequencies. DMR is an improved version of a PMR solution.
